Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Product Owner to play a pivotal role in our Agile product development lifecycle. This individual will serve as the bridge between our product strategy and technical execution, working closely with product leadership, the development team, and key stakeholders to ensure successful and timely delivery of high-impact features and enhancements across our platform. In partnership with the product management department lead, the Product Owner will be responsible for translating product vision into actionable user stories and requirements while helping define and enforce our product development processes.

Agile Product Execution:

  • Own and maintain the product backlog, ensuring it is continuously groomed and prioritized in alignment with business goals.
  • Write clear and detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and supporting documentation for the development team in collaboration with the VP of Product Management
  • Serve as the daily point of contact for developers during sprints, providing clarification and quick decision-making to unblock work.
  • Lead backlog refinement and sprint planning sessions in collaboration with the VP of Product Management.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the VP of Product Management to align backlog priorities with the strategic product roadmap.
  • Collaborate with customer success and development to ensure quality, performance, and timely release of new features.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders to understand evolving needs and ensure business value is delivered with every release.
  • Collaborate with the VP of Product Management to evolve the roadmap and explore innovative opportunities, including the use of AI to drive long-term product strategy.

Process & Quality Ownership:

  • Support the enforcement and improvement of Agile product development processes, including definition of done, QA/testing best practices, and documentation standards.
  • Assist in UAT coordination and release readiness, ensuring features meet both functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Participate in release planning, product demos, and retrospectives to drive continuous improvement.

Customer & Market Insight:

  • Participate in customer feedback sessions, advisory boards, and user testing to inform backlog prioritization.
  • Stay up to date on mortgage industry trends and loan-level accounting use cases to ensure product-market fit.
